A Neighborhood Spot with a Story
Back in 1995, we took over Gio’s, a small but well-loved local tavern, and set out to make it something special. The neighborhood was different then—times were tough, but we put in the work. Slowly, things changed. We remodeled the inside, added big windows for summer nights, and built a patio for outdoor seating. Over the years, Gio’s grew into a true neighborhood bar, a place where regulars became family and new faces always felt welcome.
A Fresh Chapter, Same Great Spot
In 2024, Eric and Katie Warren became new owners of Gio’s in Ravenswood, Chicago. Now known as Gio’s Bar and Grill, we’ve stayed true to what makes this place great—good food, cold drinks, and a laid-back atmosphere where everyone belongs. Who knew that Katie and Eric would meet years earlier at Gio's, fall in love and get married before purchasing Gio's? Many couples have met, fallen in love at Gio's and eventually married. Is there something special in our beer and food that gives it heart?
